Back-lit letters

Letters with an opaque face and illuminated back — a sculpted light source mounted flush to the wall. Subtle, architectural.

Back-lit letters on a concrete wall, producing a soft glow on the surface behind

Where halo-lit letters project off the wall on standoffs, back-lit letters sit nearly flush — the illumination escapes through a small gap at the letter perimeter. Used when the architecture wants a quieter signage moment.

Thinner than halo-lit (20-30mm vs 50-150mm), which means a shallower visual presence but also less illumination depth. Best for interior signage, lobby walls, and exterior applications where the facade itself is the star and the sign should recede into it.
